16-year-old Genevieve and 20-year-old Guy are very much in love. Her kind
mother, who runs an umbrella shop, won't hear of her marrying, particularly
as Guy has yet to complete his compulsory military service. Genevieve is
heartbroken when he leaves for his army service in colonial Algeria and
is upset to have received only one letter from him in two months.
Her mother's solution to this situation is kind diamond-merchant
Roland Cassard, who has helped them in the past.

Viva Las Vegas
VIVA LAS VEGAS

(Comedy | Musical)
[1 hour 25 minutes]

Lucky Jackson arrives in town with his car literally in tow ready for
the first Las Vegas Grand Prix - once he has the money to buy an engine.
He gets the cash easily enough but mislays it when the pretty swimming
pool manageress takes his mind off things. It seems he will lose both
race and girl, problems made more difficult by rivalry from Elmo Mancini,
fellow racer and womaniser. Perhaps some singing will help.

The Unsinkable Molly Brown
THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN

(Biography | Comedy | Musical | Romance | Western)
[2 hours 8 minutes]

Majestic mountains are in the background and a waterfall in the foreground.
Is that a canoe on the river? No it's a cradle with a baby. The buoyant
Molly Brown has survived the first crisis of her life -- a flood. Sixteen
years later she sets out to make her way in the world. Can she sing and
play the piano? She assures the Leadville saloon keeper that she can and
learns quickly. Soon she is the bride of Johnny Brown, who in a few years
will be able to replace the original cigar wrapper wedding ring with a
replica in gold and gemstones. But it takes more than a few million dollars
to be accepted by Denver society. The Browns head for Europe and bring a
few crowned heads back to Denver for a party that turns into a ballroom
brawl. Molly goes to Europe alone, returning on the Titanic.
She didn't survive a flood as a baby for the story to end here.

A Hard Day's Night
A HARD DAY'S NIGHT

(Comedy | Musical)
[1 hour 27 minutes]

A day and a half in the life of the Fab Four leading up to a televised
concert gig. The boys seem to be constantly on the run, from their
crazed fans and from their manager, who is constantly trying to rein
them in. Sir Ringo Starr however is arrested and still isn't in the
studio half an hour before air time. With Sir Paul McCartney's
grandfather available for additional comical relief,
the group performs a dozen or so songs.

When Jane and Michael, the children of the wealthy and uptight Banks

My Fair Lady
MY FAIR LADY

(Drama | Family | Musical | Romance)
[2 hours 50 minutes]

Pompous phonetics Professor Henry Higgins (Sir Rex Harrison) is so
sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a
Cockney working-class girl into someone who can pass for a cultured
member of high society. His subject turns out to be the lovely
Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn), who agrees to speech lessons to
improve her job prospects. Higgins and Eliza clash, then form an
unlikely bond, one that is threatened by aristocratic suitor
Freddy Eynsford-Hill (Jeremy Brett).
